But God calls us to something different—something quieter, more focused, and deeply meaningful. This Gospel-Centered Wellness Journal is a weekly reset—a space to realign your heart, mind, and emotions with God's truth so that you can live fully, love deeply, and walk in the peace Christ intended." Want a sneak peek? Check it out here. 🐇🥚 Tuttle Twins Easter SALE - We LOVE these American History books as well as the engaging stories for kids to learn about free-market economics. Check out their Easter Sale here to get 60% off with their bundle of history books and picture books! 📊 All About Math level 1 is coming out in May! The same company that brought us All About Reading and All About Spelling is working on an elementary math program that promises to incorporate the same hands-on learning that we have used and loved for their reading program. 🧰 Teaching Tools📊 I love finding resources that help me become a better teacher (to my own kids!), and Jessica has some fantastic articles about teaching MATH at mathwithpurpose.com. For example, in this article she explains strategies to teach our elementary students to help them attack any math problem. 🎁 If you're brand new to homeschooling and want a place to start, check out this page, Homeschool 101, where I have curated a list of articles to help you get going. 📚 On My Bookshelf📘 The Wind in the Willows - This story is apparently a "classic," but I don't recall reading it myself as a child. But I was enticed by this edition's beautiful illustrations and plan to start it next week with my kiddos. I love that it's hardback, has a built-in bookmark ribbon, and the cover art is lovely. What I don't like is when I purchased it through Amazon, the gorgeous dust cover came already torn in several places. 😠 📕 The One Thing by Gary Keller - I just finished this book, and although the productivity strategies are geared more toward business and general life, I've been thinking about how it applies to homeschool. By trying to do so many subjects every single day, are we spreading ourselves (and more importantly, our kids) too thin? Should we be focusing on one thing at a time? Or at least limiting the number of subjects in any given day so our brains can truly focus on that? I don't know. This book gave me a lot to chew on. ✨ Just for Fun🍿🍿 My husband learned this from a coworker recently...If you take a microwave popcorn bag and bend/squish it to mix the kernels and butter before you put it in the microwave, it spreads the butter and salt around over all the kernels so they all taste better, and it ensures that fewer kernels are wasted. 😵 You're welcome. I'd love to hear from you about what's working in your homeschool - or any other tips you have! Emily emily@teachertutormom.com P.S. Where do you shop for curriculum?
