ALL ABOUT LEARNING PRESS OFFERS*

  • All About Math Level 1* will be available on Tuesday (May 13th)! I am working on my review article. If you want to read my ongoing notes you're welcome to take a peek here (they are rough BTW).
  • FREE Printable Drag Race Reading or spelling activity that you can use with any reading or spelling words your kids are working on. All About Learning Press has lots of free activities for anyone to use - check this activity out here*.

ULTIMATE HOMEMAKING BUNDLE

Ultimate Bundles' Ultimate Homemaking Bundle* will be available this coming week, May 12-16. The items in this bundle are 97% off their market price! I will be in touch with more info in the next few days. Often, it is worth the price of the bundle just for a couple of items. This is my favorite company to get great DISCOUNTED DEALS from.

🧰 Teaching Tools

Looking for fun activities to keep your kiddos learning this summer?

Art for Kids Hub is an incredible FREE art lesson resource. My kids love drawing alongside the father-kid duos. This channel has everything from how to draw a bird to specific cartoon and video game characters. And difficulty levels range from littles to older kids (or adults!). They also have a paid site if you prefer to avoid ads and YouTube distractions. It's currently $5.99/month. And they apparently have printed books* on Amazon now too!!

📚 On My Bookshelf

Uncovering the Logic of English* by Denise Eide is a staple on my shelf. I love this reference guide to why English words are spelled the way they are. I found it to be a very interesting read (granted, I love learning about phonics!). The cool thing is she explains how so many English words we think of as exceptions can more often phonetically explained than we would imagine. For instance, why is "give" spelled with a silent e on the end but not pronounced with a long i? English words cannot end in the letter v so the silent-e is added to prevent the v from being on the end of the word.

Just for Fun

Want to track your family's favorite meals? Ultimate Bundles has a free downloadable ebook here*.

When are you finishing homeschool for the year? I'd love to hear!

P.S. Don’t miss my latest post, First Grade Math with Confidence In-Depth Review. I'm planning to write an in-depth analysis of each grade that we have used. I'll keep you posted.
